I chose the philosophy of artificial intelligence as my research paper topic. Artificial intelligence (or AI for short) is an innovative and growing area of interest in the world of technology and innovations in the field of AI's are happening all the time. I am Interested in the world of technology, computers, and programming, and thought this topic would fit in with my interests. AI's are already around us today, and if you have an Iphone, you've probably used one before. Siri is an AI that understands some human commands and can learn from her user. I talk to Siri all the time, just now i asked her to tell me a joke and she said "Two Iphone's walk into a bar... I forget the rest."
If you want to waste a few hours of your life you can talk to Cleverbot, a conversational AI that talks to you about just about anything. The main object is to convince Cleverbot it's a robot, but I usually get sidetracked. Here's a Link: http://www.cleverbot.com/

This sounds like a very fun idea especially because, as you said, AIs are all around us. We use them perhaps everyday without much thought. Its spooky that technology can learn from people based on what we have said and I think its important for people to be educated on devices we use every day.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a really interesting topic because of how relevant it is in our modern culture. Do you pan on narrowing the topic down at all or just focusing on artificial intelligence in general? I would love to learn more about your topic when you write your paper!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great topic that you have a lot of interest in. It's very relevant but also complex so I bet there will be tons to learn and write about. I'm not very tech savvy so I am sure I'll learn a lot from your paper!
ReplyDeleteDo you think that AIs will be able to replace human emotions and be able to experience some kind of mathematical formation of love? If you're into anime/manga I would look up the series called Chobits if I were you because it's all about that. Also, I talked to Cleverbot for a solid 3 minutes and here is what was said
